Review on ๐Ÿง  CT51264BA160BJ High Density UDIMM 240-Pin Desktop Memory - Crucial 4GB Single DDR3-1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) x4 by Shawn Vennakota

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked perfectly right out of the box

I used this for the second channel on a HP-400 Pavilion Slim family computer with an AMD processor. The Junior computer was fine with its 4GB single-channel DIMM, but I wanted a bit more "coolness" so I was very careful to match, all numbers matter, DIMM, 240- Pin, PC-3 -12800 and 16000 MT / s, 4GB single DR3. To find all this information, it took about 20 minutes to open the case and visually inspect the memory already installed. Note that the links posted for this HP model at least DO NOT accurately reflect what is inside the computer. So you need to verify what is actually there and read the information on the label of the part. Important: Pull out the mains plug first! Once you know, order new parts, as always, Revain does a great job shipping. The dimming chip installs in seconds, just line up the edge of the copper pin, press firmly until it clicks, replace the cover and restart your computer. If you've done your research correctly, it will take a minute to reconfigure your computer. itself, and the next time you run it again, you should see an amazing improvement in speed. If the computer won't start, beeps, or does strange things, turn it off, remove the new chip, and try to figure out what you did wrong. The system is tuned in terms of speed, latency and number of contacts. They want to increase the capacity, eg 4 GB instead of 2 GB, or in my case two channels of 4 GB instead of one channel of 4 GB. By itself, the increase will noticeably increase your speed without having to try to change the system "clock". If you don't understand what I'm talking about in the previous paragraph, stick to a simple comparison. Existing storage specifications. If you understand what I'm talking about, please see if you can explain it better than I can. I'm trying to keep it simple and clear, but I doubt I can. I hope the techs agree that there is little point in overclocking a low-end system. Adding more memory is the best, easiest, cheapest, and most effective upgrade you can make. In short: Crucial 4GB Single DDR3 1600MT/s PC3-12800 UDIMM 240 pin took longer to unpack than to install. It fitted my system perfectly and worked flawlessly. Highly recommended
