This is a cheap copy of a much better shovel. The locking system is weak and cannot lock securely. The reason for the lock has to do with keeping this scoop in a horizontal position. When picking up dirt, the latch should hold the tray in place so that a person can easily sweep up the dust and dirt and throw it into the bin. The structure used to secure the pallet is very poorly designed and can be expected to fail once the tiny plastic fasteners wear out. Another issue was the condition of the equipment upon delivery. The original box was in the new box as the old one fell apart during shipping. Two of the six dust collectors were destroyed. The pots were nested so tightly together that it took a large screwdriver to pry them apart. Four that survived their type of work, but poor latch design rendered them almost entirely useless. The sticks supplied have a clip on a plastic handle intended to hold a broom and it cannot be removed as it is part of the handle. This makes the handle very difficult to grip. They refunded me in full for my issues and allowed me to dispose of the items at my discretion.
