Omigosh is cute but runs small! I would return and exchange for a size XL (14-16) if I had time for a child who normally wears size 8-10 shirts. There is another "Wood Elf" costume that looks very similar on the packaging but is in reality very different in materials. We searched for this Link costume around town but only Wood Elf was available and we chose the size based on trying one of these at another store. It was shinier and stretchier, had more nylon, was a size 8 and felt a bit looser than this M (10-12). The more typical wood elf had mittens and a hat with a wig and ears (cute!). Child didn't like the ears and wanted a more realistic Link costume and I debated how long it would take to make and settled on this one. It has 3 round velcro straps on the back, a faux leather belt is sewn on, the belt has "useful" pockets and closes with velcro on the back, and it's a bit tight. The suit looks damn cute when it's on; To clarify, it looks like the picture, the light gray tank top only goes to the top of the green tunic it's sewn to, then the sleeves match the light gray with links of blue mittens sewn on, and I think it's "right". ". older link version. Overshoes reach about halfway down the child's shin and stretch like a sock. They work over thick shoes and skinny boots, but probably not over winter boots. I ordered a size larger than I thought we would need the suit to fit over cold weather clothing and last longer for the game. Now we're taking the kids in a truck instead so they can keep warm between houses! Kids love the look and after all, that's the main reason for the costume, right?
