My cats love this windowsill. It's one of the few narrow enough to fit on our window pane, and while both cats can't quite fit it, they *try* and it supports their combined weight until one of them gets angry enough to leave . I've never had cardboard pop out of the mount, in fact it takes a little extra effort to snap it into place. The suction cups work well, although I do thoroughly clean the window and suction cups before installing or repositioning. This was the most popular sleeping place in the house and I'm considering getting another, although I'm sure no one will use the second place just because it's cats.
