Media could not be loaded. I bought this motor to replace the noisy one in the fiberglass Christmas tree. This new motor is almost as loud as the old one. (Turn up the volume to hear the motor running in the video I uploaded.) The only thing the motor does is spin the colored plastic disc so there is no stress on the motor. The position of the motor with the back of the motor down and the shaft up. Update: 01/13/2017 - I bought the motor again thinking maybe the first one was just defective. The same thing. The engine is very noisy. It worked quietly for 30 minutes, then the knocking started. Now when we turn it on, it makes a crunching noise.
