Review on Shield Yourself From The Sun With G4Free'S Windproof Travel Umbrella With UPF 50+ Protection by Jay Liu

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Seems well built, but….

I was looking forward to this after a lot of research - silver UV block version. It is very heavy and bulkier (when closed) relative to one you would buy in a store. That is not necessarily a bad thing. It appears to be a heavier/stronger material than normal umbrellas (probably due to the UV protection) and the inside braces appear to be pretty strong. The issue I had upon opening it for the first time was that it would not open all the way. I realized that the joints in the braces could not invert all the way to completely open. After several attempts I was able to push the joints out manually so that it will now open and close normally. Overall it seems sturdy, I am just concerned when I get a chance to use it a few times that it may not last. I may just have received a questionable one because it it seems to be well built otherwise. I also ordered the 68” version and did not have any issues.Updated: G4Free quickly and easily exchanged the umbrella for a new one to make sure I would not have any issues. Kudos to an easy process and their commitment to the customer. The new one worked correctly out of the bag. Thank you!

Pros
  • Durable construction ensures longevity and reliable use
Cons
  • The umbrella may be too long to fit in some travel bags or suitcases
