This 42” G4Free UV Protection Umbrella is good, but not entirely perfect. The good is that in order for the material to have enough blocking power, it’s substantially thicker than that of a standard rain umbrella. The fabric tested well in full sunlight where it didn’t allow any light to leak through. The overall weight of it is also good. Handy little umbrella that does a good job blocking out the sun/UV rays, taking away some of the heat. I purchased the 46" thinking it would provide complete body coverage, but it mainly covers mid chest/back, so it's not as big as I'd like it. The thick material makes this umbrella a little heavy to carry and it takes extra effort to close (push down from the top) and get back in to carrying pouch, but it can be done. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase because it fulfills it's purpose.

I paid $30 for a small silver vinyl tarp. If it was larger I would feel somewhat better about the purchase but it is very small and given that I bought it to keep the Sun from hitting my skin I'm going to have a challenge repositioning it depending on the angle of the Sun. If I'm spending $30 for an umbrella it needs to be bigger . I'm keeping the item but there will be competitors that eat this company for lunch with a lower price point and a bigger size

I was looking forward to this after a lot of research - silver UV block version. It is very heavy and bulkier (when closed) relative to one you would buy in a store. That is not necessarily a bad thing. It appears to be a heavier/stronger material than normal umbrellas (probably due to the UV protection) and the inside braces appear to be pretty strong. I like the compact size. The colors work to keep the sun off of your face. I get skin cancer on my face and I am glad I found this umbrella. I use this for everyday activities such as walking my dog and going for a long walk. Easy open with push button. Has prevented sunburn!

I must stay out of sun as much as possible due to postherpatic neurological problem. Don’t think it gives me enough sun protection.

I had originally written a note my umbrella wouldn't open all the way. I think it just needed a little time to warm up. After about an hour it popped fully open and worked great all weekend.

Good shade protection IF there is NO wind. Very light wind causing umbrella to blow inside out several times before breaking. Have used umbrellas for years with no similar issues with the mild winds. I thought for the price it would be nice and sturdy but was disappointed. Would not buy again.

The umbrella is excellent except for one thing. It is very sturdily made and effective in the sun. However, the fabric is thick. This is probably good in the long run, but it makes the umbrella resistant to folding up neatly after use.

Just used it in Hawaii 90°F weather, saved me from sun & UV exposure. Used at the beach, flipped a few times from wind but didn't break, amazingly sturdy. Definitely felt cooler when the sun was high and burning. The 1 day I didn't use it, I regretted it; got slight heat exhaustion from sun exposure with no coverage.

Small enough for travel and can be used in sun or rain. Had skin cancer in past and so extremely neurotic about UV protection. Lightweight, compact (fits nicely in Longchamp bag) and windproof. Smaller size is perfect for one person.

Great sun protection and lower temps under this light weight umbrella.It did woosh up with strong wind gusts, but reversed to normal with a tilt into the wind direction. Grammy easily made it to 7 soccer games in 2 days in 90+ temps 😊. A lot easier than a tent.

I bought this for my wife for her trip to Disney in Florida at the end of August 2021. She say's although when fully closed up it sticks out of her bag a little, the trade off was the comfort of sun and rain protection that it provided at a moments notice. Easy to open and close and according to her it was a godsend. Very happy with this purchase.

This sun umbrella really knocks the sun rays out of your way, as you walk along the boardwalk near the beach.It has a very small handle, which is a negative. They need to double the size, or more. Then, it could double duty for golfers.When tied up for storage, the strap is too short. The umbrella is bulky, and does not fold up properly with such a short strap. A bungee cord wrapped around it can substitute.Overall, this is a very good sun umbrella.

I really like the sun protection and the fact that it truly is cooler under this umbrella. But, the fabric STINKS. I thought perhaps having it out in the sun would help but, not as of yet.

Good compact design. And protection for 2. Used during a music festival recently and others looked quite jealous of our purchase. Just tried hard not to block anyones view.
