Review on ๐Ÿšฝ Universal One Size Fits All Grand EZ Toilet Bolt Caps - No Cutting or Tools Required! by Dany Hamilton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

They're big and expensive but they definitely work

I'm glad I bought them. Installation is almost effortless, they fit snugly and don't dangle. All I had to do was slip them onto the studs and then smack them a few times with my palm. That's all. So why four instead of five stars? First, they are expensive, as are toilet screw caps. So there's a small premium you pay for the convenience. Second, they're big and plumpโ€”again, a contributing factor: one-size-fits-all. Third, the shape of the cap is a hemisphere on a cylinder and a point. If you look at the lids that come with our quality Toto toilets you will see that they have an elegant shape which they lack. I realize it can seem a bit silly to talk about "elegant shape" and "toilet bolt lid" in the same sentence. But gosh, we paid over $400 for these Toto toilets and the rest of the toilet shows it - so the tank has an elegant curvature; It's not the simple rounded rectangle you get when you go to Home Depot and buy what contractors buy to build a low-rent apartment. Also, when you're paying $10 for a set of toilet screw caps, it doesn't seem unreasonable to ask for some design that goes beyond what is required for functionality. were the only ones I could be sure would work with my oversized bolts. Maybe one day in an anal frenzy I'll take my hacksaw and cut the studs to fit Toto's nice little plugs. Until then, I'm glad they were available.

Pros
  • That's amazing
