Review on Pack of 3 Oreck Commercial 0300604 XL Vacuum Belts for U2000, XL2000, 2200, 2600, 3700, 4090, 9000, 9300, and DS1700HY Models by Josh Gerhardt

My model is not listed where I could find it online; So I dared to order these 3 packs. I received them within 2 days in a soft large envelope. There were no instructions to be expected on how to fit. After removing the 6 Phillips head screws on the bottom plastic access panel, with some effort and skillful peeking I was able to squarely roll the bearing mount over the slotted retainer and stretch the strap to allow the pulley to fit its groove. Seems the 0300604 belt will fit most models. I was surprised that the belt was much shorter, at least an inch from the 1/4" motor shaft to the 1" brushroll. I understand why the belt in the Oreck broke after 3 years of use as it is very tight between the shafts. but I suppose it needs to be firm to not slip. I now have two more belts at a good price for another 6 years of vacuum use.
