I tried using the plastic spacers that came with the Norton sanding disc. What a waste of time. The wheel wobbled so much that my bench grinder vibrated like crazy, and there's no chance you'll be able to sharpen or grind anything accurately. Not to mention that unbalanced circles are dangerous. This didn't completely eliminate the vibration as the wheel still needed to be balanced, but made it usable and the grinder safe (eliminated excessive vibration and wobble). All I can tell you in this review is this, just stop looking and buy these, they are simply the best spacers and you will need them if you ever change wheels.
