I bought a pair of these ProMonitor 800 speakers from Definitive Technology about a year ago to use as front height channels in an 11.2 channel home theater and they have been in limited supply role great job. They played in the system, but I didn't realize how good these speakers were until I installed them as a pair in my office. The sound couldn't have been better. The room isn't too big, maybe 12ft x 14, which probably helps the bass sound full, but still surprising for a 9-inch speaker the bass sounds quite full. I mostly listen to classical music, especially opera, and the sound from these speakers, combined with the relatively inexpensive Cambridge Audio Topaz AM10 Premium integrated amplifier, fills the room and seems to come from much larger speakers. The cabinet seems to be constructed really well to eliminate resonances and the woofers are also key to the success of this design. Overall I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better speaker in this price range. Highly recommended.
