woman here. It's a well thought out system. The metal shelves are strong and good looking (not cheap or flimsy), the adhesive is very strong and the shelves were easy to set up. We have a mid-century house and love the late 40's vintage black tile in the bathroom and shower, so we didn't want to rip them down, but it was missing shelving. The bathroom had no room on the sides or corners for shampoo, conditioner, etc. We tried rod shelves and didn't like the look. We tried other wall shelves that had an "expand mechanism" to hold them in place, but they didn't fit well (didn't stretch enough) and kept falling into the tub. These black metal shelves come with sticky tape wide enough to get the job done and when you install them consider them semi-permanent and position them correctly the first try as they will be difficult to remove and move. This indicates semi-permanence. The way the tapes have bolts that go through slots in the shelves and then little screws that need to be tightened is such a well thought out system. I am very happy with this purchase.
