Review on Maximize Your Home Gym With CDCASA'S Adjustable Power Squat Rack Cage And Multi-Function Power Tower by Chris Shields

Decent entry level quality with some safety concerns

Product arrived in demolished packaging. The edges of the pieces being steel plate or tube are sharp and are not well carded resulting in the boxes being cut and destroyed on the ends. Product was not damaged despite the condition of the boxes though I was concerned that pieces may have fallen out in route. Hardware is heat wrapped to cardboard and clearly labeled. Grab your own wrenches. The provided ones would work but they are very basic.Assembly is straight forward and the instructions clear. First point of concern came when tightening down the bolts, the rectangular tubing bows at the bolting locations. It doesn't appear to be a risk but it was disheartening to see the tubing deform that easily.Once tightened up the system is firm and solid feeling. The frame itself does not rattle of jostle. I am disappointed that the feel of it is not more robust. It is light gauge so it does not have that stout feel to it that others I looked at in store had. I don't think this will affect performance but it just doesn't feel strong or give confidence.Largest concern and a safety concern I have is over the safety arms. The attachments fix to the frame by gravity, resting two notches on each side of the arm onto the pegs on the posts. The j-hooks have a safety pin to prevent them from lifting off the pegs. Unfortunately the spotter arms do not. The notch on the arms the rests on the pegs is not deep so I can easily see the risk of the arms getting bumped or jostled during an emergency moment resulting in the spotter arm becoming dislodged. Adding a safety latch would address that concern. A more robust solution would be utilizing a double movement to free it, (twist-pull for example) as opposed to a single movement. My other concern with the spotter arms is the lack of a rubberized padding on the holding surface. It is bare powdercoated steel. Instead of absorbing a drop a bit this makes the bar rebound a bit, concerning with the lack of a safety catch and also a guarantee that the finish will be toasted before too long. For what it is I think this is a bit overpriced. For $150 more a stouter in store option would have left me more satisfied with my purchase. I do not questions its function and do appreciate it's compact nature but I feel like I settled with the purchase vs being fully satisfied.Definitely not an appropriate option for a heavy lifter or a commercial application.
