I've been using this for years to remove paint from steel. They work great but wear out quickly. Once you get used to it, instead of going crazy over it, you can make them last a little longer by adjusting the pressure accordingly. wear out in minutes, heck they even strip the chrome off the old bumper. I recommend them but understand what you are buying. They are designed to be disposable, unlike metal cutting discs or flap discs that last weeks, months, or even years. I am writing at least 3 dissertations as part of a small project. The paint cannot be removed, but steel surfaces can be polished to some extent with a worn disc. don't spend, don't want, it does the trick in an emergency, it's worth holding on to.
