Using OPI Gel Polish with LED Lamp. However, I wasn't sure if I should use it over a two-tone coat or a top coat. I ended up trying to cure on my gel top coat. I tried several brands and colors with a specific design I wanted but only one of the gel colors worked but was too light to show up over my light pink foundation. So I took it off and tried regular polish. Essie, no luck. So I tried Sally Hansen Miracle Gel (quick drying polish without a lamp) and bingo. It worked. Now I've found that if you try to reuse the same design twice, you have to clean it (with acetone) and really rub it in between or it won't work. Now things can get messy, and if you've used regular polish and brush with that hand, the work you've been doing so far will come undone. This too can lead to confusion. BUT when it works, it looks so amazing! I've found that some designs work better than others (maybe they were engraved deeper into the metal than others). In any case, it takes practice. I was ready to return it but I'm glad I didn't! The stamp is soft and excellent. I cleaned it with duct tape. Lac will come off. Be careful though, it seems very delicate. The kit came with no instructions so I had to guess pretty much everything I do and practice what works best.
