This works great and slides open and closed easy. I use it on my imac and have recommend it to all of my coworkers now that we're doing more virtual meetings.My only issue was that on my macbook pro the lid did not close flush when this was applied over the camera. My macbook had a slight bump where the lid deformed a bit around this while closed and I didn't feel comfortable leaving this in place on the laptop because of that.One modification I did make was to take whiteout and apply it to the plastic around the camera opening. This gives me a visible white ring around the camera when the cover is left open so that it stands out and reminds me to close the cover when I'm not using the camera. On my imac the area around the camera is black and it was difficult to tell when I'd left the cover open, but now I notice right away.
