My old switch worked, but the lights that showed which area you were in worked when they wanted to, so you had to guess whether you were in 2WD or 4WD were. Got a new VIA UPS switch and installed it within 1 minute. You don't need to remove the dashboard trim to replace the switch. Simply use a small flathead screwdriver to press the locking tabs on each end of the switch and pull out. Disconnect the wires from the old switch and connect them to the new switch. Then just slide it back into the dashboard. Ready. Now the light works every time and I know if I'm driving 2WD or 4WD.
