When everyone is looking for information at the same time, sometimes the wifi in the dorm stops working. The ability to connect via a wired LAN took away the headache. Unfortunately, newer laptops are too thin to accommodate a network cable, so a USB to Cat 5 adapter is a must. It is definitely worth it!
