Review on ๐Ÿ‘š Adjustable Height and Width Rolling Metal Clothes Rack - Honey-Can-Do GAR-01124 in Chrome, supporting up to 30 lbs by Lisa Black

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not very durable. Probably only suitable for light shirts. Don't even think about hanging sweaters or outerwear.

Bought two of these over a year ago. Assembly is really easy as there are plastic joints where you slide the metal parts (press fit) and there are plenty of height adjustments and short extensions. At both ends. One of these that I've used for button down shirts and polo shirts is holding up well. There's quite a bit of flex (the whole assembly shifts a bit) when you're picking things up or sliding hangers along the track, so I half-expected the bars to eventually come out of the plastic joints. but not for light use. The one that wasn't that good, I had some shirts and some hoodies that I put on him that weren't that good. I used it mostly for storage so there wasn't even an element of daily use, I literally put things on it and it sat for a while. Then I noticed that the posture, which was more square, was becoming more and more like a parallelogram. slipped out, but after inspecting it, I found that the plastic hinge was actually cracked. As you can see from the photos the tape doesn't help hold it together. Surprisingly, in this form, he survived thanks to the help of his neighbor from a plastic box. The price has come down a bit since I bought it, but if you have an Ikea nearby I know they sell much sturdier (all metal) shelves for about $5 more. I know that's what I'm going to replace it with when this thing finally breaks down.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
