So I just tested this product on a 2-slot Lexar Pro USB 3.0 Reader using a 64GB San Disk Extreme Pro card. Satechi failed miserably. How much? I transferred 30 GB of Camera Raw photos using both readers. Lexar USB 3.0 took 6:50 to transfer photos. The same 30GB photos were transferred in 13:55 with Satechi's USB 3.0 side. Same card, same data, same computer. The only advantage of Satechi is size and portability, as the Lexar Professional reader is larger and requires a USB cable to connect. However, if you're looking for something that can harness the speed of USB 3, leave the Satechi at home or just pack it for emergencies. Lexar costs about $10 more, but how much is your time worth?
