Review on IVICY Seat Cover Protector Cushion Interior Accessories by Jair Baltrusch

Revainrating 4 out of 5

exactly what i was looking for!

This seat cover does exactly what I wanted: it gives my 12 year old Honda SUV a nice, comfortable, non-slip cover, which at the same time hides holes in both front leather seats. (Yes I had to order 2 for both front seats). It only covers the center of the buttocks of the seat and the center of the back, but that's what I wanted. Seems well made and durable, plus they have a thicker cushion. Much better than the seat covers I was looking for at Pep-Boy's auto parts. The instructions weren't as bad as some of the previous complaints/reviews. Installing a basic car seat that doesn't cover the entire seat isn't difficult, although a 2 minute online video would be helpful, or at least a picture of what the backrest should look like when complete (hence 4 stars). I started with 2 clips attached to the back of the headrest. I struggled for about 5 minutes to finally get them hooked (simply because my car is so old the headrests wouldn't go up). The center valve is wedged between the backrest and the seat, allowing the elastic straps to come out the back of the seat. The bottom hooks were fairly easy to thread under the seat and secure (particularly using a stiff hanger to easily maneuver under the wires while also pulling the elastic from back to front). However, there were 2 extra long elastics on the back that didn't have any hooks and I didn't know where to put them! I was able to tuck them under the seat without attaching them, but decided to use them to keep the cover from moving, so I attached my own hooks and ran long elastics along the back of the seat and up to the headrests . It's probably not what you should be doing with them, but it works for me. I was offered NOTHING to add to my review (I didn't even know it was a 'thing') but thought it might be helpful to the rest of us buyers.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good
