Will not fit standard rimmed aquariums
Whilst this is a high quality lantern it is not suitable for rimmed aquariums. I bought these to replace the light bulbs on our 2 PetSmart 5.5 gallon front split tanks that blew out after a few years. However, these lights will not fit these rimmed tanks. I bought some acrylic scrap at a local hardware store and am planning to build a 12 gallon 10" x 10" x 26" rimless tank with a built in internal filter to use the two lights I bought when my acrylic " weld-on 3 glue" is I ordered from Revain, it will come out one day!
