I have been looking for this technology for several years because my company phone is on Verizon (CDMA) and my personal phone is on GS/LTE which meant I had to take two phones with me. Pixel 4 DSDS and dual network capability (currently the only phone on the market with this capability) solved my problem: I can now carry a dual number phone in both CDMA (Verizon) and GSM/LTE. coverage area. Good job Google. I'm willing to bet Verizon's hardware sales aren't going to like this phone. However, there is a downside to any phone that uses an eSim (yes, one of the two SIMs on the Pixel 4 is an eSim and the other is a physical SIM). If your phone gets damaged, you won't have a physical SIM card to use in your replacement phone, and you'll need to activate the physical SIM card with your carrier. This means that after your damaged eSim phone is repaired, you will need to download the eSim back onto your eSim phone (which would mean another visit to your provider I think). This is certainly not a problem unless you have a habit of damaging your phones like me.
