Overall I'd say this is a decent kettle for the price as it combines a gooseneck and thermometer for a very affordable price (at least when I bought it for around $20). ). However, I can't help but feel that something is wrong with the neck design. It's very difficult to get a slow fill without the flow getting very muddy and rough (which will ultimately affect your fill as the fill gets pretty aggressive anyway). The first pot I received had a defect around the filler neck which I thought might be causing the problem. The seller kindly sent me a replacement that worked better, but even without a defect, it was difficult to get a slow, smooth, non-aggressive fill. I would conclude that this is a good entry level product for those just trying to water. for the first time, but if you're looking for something more long-term, you might want to invest in something more expensive.
