Have had this kettle for almost two years but recently the copper plating has started to leak at the seams and peel excessively. Is that the expected lifespan of such a kettle after two years of occasional personal use? I don't know but I will buy another brand now.

My only complaint would be how much water it holds, but I knew that when I bought it. Consider larger size when making coffee or tea for more than 1-2 people. The thermometer seems accurate, but mine is at a weird angle. I think it's a small manufacturing defect. In recent months it has maintained its finishes both inside and out. Wonderful french press coffee maker.

Great little kettle! The product corresponds to the declared, well packaged, the price is reasonable. It's also a really great teapot. Loved the thermometer! I use it to boil water for coffee and tea. We have reviewed thousands of kettles. Everyone seemed to have serious complaints about something. So I went old school and bought one of these. I like the thermometer because I can accurately control the temperature of the water. important for coffee, crucial for tea!

I love this thing. No rust either. I used it on a gas stove. What I do is when I'm done, I drain the remaining water and then just take the lid off and hang it on the side. If this happens shortly after cooking, the small amount of water that remains will evaporate, leaving it dry and unnecessary. to turn it upside down or dry it. Overall I'd say this is a decent kettle for the price as it combines a gooseneck and thermometer for a very affordable price (at least when I bought it for around $20). ). In general the kettle is reliable. The handle feels a little cheap, but the rest of the kettle feels solid. There's just one problem: the lid.
