They have provided EXCELLENT customer service and the new device appears to be working perfectly. First check: This device must have a short circuit or something because it won't stay on. I previously bought one of these to test out and have been observing a 1500 watt heater in my garage for over a week with no apparent problems. So I got a second one in the basement and kept an eye on the drain pump, which has an output of almost 1000 watts when in operation.
