All measurement functions worked as described. It's great to have a power factor measurement. The backlight goes out after about a minute, but if you press a button it comes back on, which wasn't a problem for my use. Leave it for many hours for a large fridge freezer, no block heating or hot plastic smell. Seems to fix startup performance by reconfiguring the device, running the load, then displaying "Hello Watts". The hi watts values were much higher than the operating watts but seem plausible based on tables of typical inrush currents for different types of loads. Unfortunately I don't have a lab inrush current meter to test it.
