I got this mount for my old car after my wife got her new iPhone 12. The magnets are very strong and the hold is secure, I'm not worried at all about the phone falling. There's still a little wobble, but I guess that's to be expected with a CD holder. This is a fairly hefty unit, the magnetic part feels metallic and heavy. I like that it feels solid. However, it puts the phone in the perfect position in my Toyota Camry for browsing and isn't overly distracting. I'm having trouble wirelessly charging my iPhone X, which has a special "MagSafe" adapter case, but then the X isn't MagSafe, so that's kind of to be expected. The phone will detect charging at first, but will turn itself off after about 10-15 seconds, so this isn't a permanent option. However, there shouldn't be a problem with Magsafe devices.
