These Mylar blankets are good in many ways, but they also have a few drawbacks. Please note that these defects are due to the nature of the product and in no way to poor product quality. The advantages are that it's a very small and simple way to keep warm and protected in an emergency. The downsides are that because it's so thin, it doesn't have enough strength for repeated use. If you are very careful you can use it several times, but it will most likely crack and if it does it will be difficult to prevent the crack from propagating. I keep one of these in each of my cars to keep me warm when I'm stuck in the winter. I also have one in a little survival kit that I carry on my belt in the woods. Overall this is a great emergency tool and for the price you can't go wrong.
