Had high hopes for turn signal blocks and lenses

I've always wondered why buying turn signals requires a mortgage. This is a simple system with lights. Still, I had high hopes for this nifty little turn signal. The installation was a bit more complicated than I would have liked. The already crimped plugs were not compatible with my electrical system. So I had to solder them. Not that bad, but it took a while. I should have known that the relay would not work with these LED bulbs. I forgot you need a new relay if you want them to work properly. Your old relay will think the bulb is blown due to the low traction of the LEDs. It no longer clicks and the lights flicker more than they signal. I was told it is not DOT compliant. So the relay needs to be replaced. Worst of all, the rubber boot that goes over the threaded rod is either too soft or improperly formed/glued. The first time I didn't fully tighten the nuts for fear of pulling the threaded end out of the rubber boot. But that wasn't enough to hold the nut, as the vibration loosened her. Thus, the dust bag broke after sufficiently tightening. Very annoying. You can see in the picture. So there are a few things to consider. These can all be fixed, but the whole point of the purchase was to shorten my work. Phone call.
