I thought mice were pretty interchangeable. I've had many computers at work, all with wired mice, and never had a problem. The wired mouse on my home computer broke so I figured it would be best to replace it with a wireless mouse. I carefully compared sizes and selected one that was closest to my size. This mouse works well and I have no complaints about the performance. I like the switch to save battery life. What I don't like is that it takes twice as much effort to spin the wheel, which can cause fatigue if you're scrolling a lot. I don't like the textured surface. I liked the smooth surface of my old mouse better. I don't like the size either. It's just a little smaller and not as "big" as my mouse, so it takes up about half of my palm. I have very small hands so figured a smaller mouse would do. After 5 minutes of use, my wrist and pinky hurt. I know I can and will get used to this, but I liked my old wired mouse that came with my Dell computer a lot better. If I could find one I would buy it, but mouse design is always evolving.
