Review on Backrack 40112 Tonneau Hardware Profile by Eric Edgar

My 2011 F150 had no bolt holes for the hold down strut

Good strut for the money. Well done. My truck had a bedliner insert. Since there were no access holes in the body or body panel, I removed the body panel and measured from the top of the truck bed to where the strut clamp bolts would go through the truck bed to bolt it on. I drilled a hole in the inner shell of the truck body so the hold down bolt would go through the hole in the body. I used washers, a lock washer and a nut to attach it to the bed. I then installed the rail over the truck rails and tightened on both sides. I put the lining back on and it worked.
