Revainrating 4 out of 5

Damn good -- LIMITED

Another reviewer noted that this keeps the camera close to her body so she can walk and/or ride a bike without worrying about hitting rocks or rocks her body bounces when she moves. That's why I bought it too. And that works quite well, but in addition to the upper strap, you also have to attach the lower strap to the camera in the right place. It's not perfect, but it's very good! I use it with the strap on top instead of the original camera strap because I couldn't make the camera strap short enough and the strap makes it even more secure. I can still let go of it fairly quickly, but it still takes about 10 seconds before I can actually start shooting. (Turn on the camera, make sure the straps on your waist are still ok, etc.) Haven't tried ONLY the camera strap yet, but I can't imagine it getting any faster. . . and I think it's still gonna pull at my neck. I like that it comes with a safety strap so it never feels like the camera just hangs loose before re-attaching it to the strap. It is called "dishes" but it is NOT dishes. It's just a strap with a strap over the lens and a strap UNDER the lens. I'm assuming he's strapping on the camera, but I like wearing a human harness that also has system ports to the camera. If it's really easier with the original tape, I'll change this rating. The reason I didn't give it a 5 is because sometimes the straps slip out of where they should be on the camera and that's why the camera pops out. Make sure you use TWO camera guards, not just one. I think I read a review where a photographer used this while mountaineering or cliff climbing. I would never do that because if the straps came loose the camera would hang by the neck strap (or harness connectors) and it would startle me being on a mountainside.
