Good for hiking and backpacking

This strap worked very well with my DSLR when hiking with Smokies packs. The only complaint was that the top adjustable strap on the two toddlers didn't stay tight. I was going to walk around with a directional lens as shown in the photos, but my camera was sagging because that strap was completely loose. I was only able to use this with the lens pointed straight down and it worked great, only risked losing the lens cap when I accidentally hit it a couple of times while hiking. Overall it…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Weight

I tested this item on a 10 km hike in the mountains. This worked well as it kept the camera from bouncing and freed up my hands like I had to use one hand to steady the camera while walking. In this respect he did well. The only two things I didn't like were the elastic straps and the fact that it's just a belt. One of the rubber bands had a plastic clasp that didn't hold tight. The buckle kept slipping instead of "locking" after I installed it. The simple strap design meant that after a while…

Adequate and about what I expected.

Under $10 including shipping, this product is just great. I wanted something that would allow me to carry my Nikon D5500 digital camera while cycling (on a paved trail). I wanted the camera to be ready for any bird shots I might encounter on my morning walks. I'm deducting 1 star because the durability and comfort of the construction could be improved a bit. The elastic fastening straps (for the camera) are slightly lighter. And the main strap around your body should have at least some elastic…

Pretty neat belt. does what it says

Really wonderful product. The main belt is adjustable and wraps around my waist. Since it doesn't need to hold weight I can adjust it to wear, it stays there but shouldn't be as tight as a regular belt. 2 small stretch straps that keep the camera close to the body, can be adjusted if you have a massive lens. After a few minutes with my belt on and several hours walking around town at the Reno Hot August Car Show, I never felt uncomfortable with the belt. If I didn't want to take pictures for a…

Exactly the camera strap I was looking for!

That seems perfect! I was looking for a Kuban hitch I had with the same function. Well, you will not find Kuban supporters. I think 40 years ago was her time. This type comfortably helps your regular strap. You can easily pull out the camera when needed, you can simply tighten the strap for just the right amount of security/stability versus comfort. It's annoying and not good for the life of your camera and lenses when they shake and hit the rocks you climb on your hikes. It held me back, I…

Damn good -- LIMITED

Another reviewer noted that this keeps the camera close to her body so she can walk and/or ride a bike without worrying about hitting rocks or rocks her body bounces when she moves. That's why I bought it too. And that works quite well, but in addition to the upper strap, you also have to attach the lower strap to the camera in the right place. It's not perfect, but it's very good! I use it with the strap on top instead of the original camera strap because I couldn't make the camera strap short

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Almost never
