The M/L tends to run more toward large.
I love this velvety wide-wale fabric (Google 'history of corduroy for an interesting read!) and these are very comfy. As my headline states, the M/L size is a bit on the larger side but it's winter and they'll be under heavy northeastern storm gear so I'm not too worried. I haven't laundered them yet, so I'm not sure about how well they hold up after several washings, but so far, I like 'em!
