I’ve kept some important documents in an old (probably 10+ years old, at least) fireproof bag, but I thought it was time to get things updated and in newer, more robust storage in case of an emergency.I’m very sentimental, and also keep some of my favorite family photos inside of our bag and would be crushed if they were ever ruined.This set includes 2, well-constructed bags (almost shiny "feeling” outside, an interesting texture that obviously makes it fire-resistant), with the foil layer on the inside. There is a larger A4 document size - which I appreciate and also a smaller passport/money-sized pouch…great for my photos as well.Another great feature that I like about these specific bags is the fact that they also help keep out water…*One important note:* At the time of this review, the product description includes both, the terms water -"proof” and "resistant”. I can’t say for sure, but when zipping up my bags, the zipper does definitely go under a rubberized "cover” to help keep water out of the corner; but it doesn’t appear that it would be completely waterproof (but I think it would do a lot to keep water out).Because, if your house catches on fire, what happens next? The fire department rescues us and puts the fire out using water…the same water which this pouch will also keep out - hopefully keeping your documents and contents safely stored away for retrieval.…If it comes to that, then I’ll also be glad for the bag’s reflective strip that’s sewn onto it, so it’ll be easy to find. Hopefully though, I would already have this with me, as I keep it in my nightstand in case of a quick evacuation (It’s a great place to have at the ready, if you want things close-by when sleeping).
