I have a 2005 Accord that was throwing fault code P2647 (tilt actuator stuck). I installed this part and reset the warning light and cleared the code. I rode for two days with no problems. On the third day I started the car and got the same error code. For real? I can't have a bad block, can I? Not correct! After much puzzling, I bit the bullet and replaced it with another one from a different manufacturer. The problem is solved. After removing the failed unit, I performed a solenoid test with a regulated power supply. The open/close voltages were around 9.5 and 6.5 VDC, while the open/close voltages for the original and second replacements were 6.5/3.5 VDC. This explains why I am still getting an error code for this device. Other observations: This article looks bad. The solenoid looks cheap and the gasket didn't fit properly in the casting. Sockets do not fit well (too tight). A plug was not easy to install. The fit and finish of the second block was much better and the gasket fitted much better. The electromagnet was significantly stronger. Vessels fit like a glove. Pro tip: Look at the percentage of 1-star reviews for each device you buy. Be sure to choose one that has a lot of reviews and a low percentage of negative reviews.
