Review on Wireless Thermometer Bluetooth Grilling Stainless by Brian Davis

The jury is still out - and it's a loss

Update: Second study failed again. I won't risk cooking anything else again. I'm done with this. Consider returning if possible. Lots of good reviews for this product. Good: I found it easy to set up the app. Just download the app, turn on your device and you're done. Everything is easy to read. Probes and cables appear to be well put together. There is definitely a good device to pack and store them. I like that the sensors have to operate at higher temperatures than most devices/sensors. Cons: There are many comments about sensors giving the wrong temperature. Probes must be the weak link in most devices as these comments have been a recurring theme. Today I used the device for the first time on a very expensive prime steak. I kept a close eye on the pace and figured it would take a lot longer to get slow/intermediate. My instinct to pull out the steak was clearly better than the probe's ability to accurately read the temperature. I almost ruined the steak. I suspect that the sensor reported a temperature of about 20 degrees below zero. Bad start and if another sensor does the same I will change my star rating. Final thoughts: I don't think it's up to the customer to verify the accuracy of the sensors. Quality control needs a kick in the butt here.
