Review on Mobil 1 Extended Performance Oil Filter - M1-110/M1-110A by Efrain Khan

I have changed my engine oil for many years. I used this for the first time on a Honda car. I was looking for a Mobil 1 filter for my car at Revain; this was suggested for use. Dimensions and size are identical to the old filter installed in my car. Installation was quick and easy. I'm a little confused by the reports here that this filter was leaked. I followed these simple oil filter installation instructions, which by the way are also shown as nice drawings on the side of the filter housing itself (nice touch!): 1. Remove the old oil filter2. Removed all traces of old oil from the cylinder block filter bracket3. Rub the oil filter rubber seal and all around with new, unused engine oil4. Manually screw the oil filter to the engine5. When the oil filter stopped turning slightly (it was hand tight), I tightened it an additional 3/4 turn. That's it.6. I didn't use any tool to tighten the oil filter. Not even after hundreds of oil changes. I've always hand tightened it. I have driven the car several times; Oil filter checked for leaks. There is nothing like it. Dry around the filter.
