Personally I would have preferred a slightly thicker silicone for protection, but it fits perfectly and offers some protection from scratches and minor falls. Feels like rubber or silicone. It also comes with a strap that clips through the body so you can hold it by your hand, or I usually clip a "tile" finder to the loop to locate my remote. What it is and costs It could have been 5 stars but the silicone is too thin for my skin so 4 stars. Available first. I like it! It's great for the price, but I'd rather pay a few bucks more and have a slightly thicker case and higher quality strap. Although recommended!
