My 4 year old twin daughters were very happy when they first saw the installed light. Works well on motion detection and is bright as you can see from the photos. You can adjust the brightness level. my kids love it I've only had it a few weeks so I don't know how long the battery life is. Requires 3 AA batteries. The only downside for me is the size of the toilet that it has to be near the front of the toilet (because that's where the movement in our bathroom will come from) that it starts to hang out of the toilet after people. sat in the seat as shown in one of the photos provided and my kids want to take it and play with it because the device is no longer unobtrusive.
