I wouldn't use this for heavy blankets or anything like that. They aren't entirely transparent, more translucent so you can see what's in the bins. I like trash cans in general, but I would be concerned that the material could tear from too much weight or something sharp. I use them for all artificial flowers and greenery and also for party decorations. The material itself resembles a rigid mosquito net or tulle. I don't think the handles won't break if your stuff is heavy. Also not sure how it can be waterproof. I don't want to test this function. Works well with a duvet in a twin or full sack, but a queen or king bed would be too bulky in my opinion.
