If you need a replacement cover to ventilate your campervan look here. Just make sure you have the same type of hinge. This type of hinge has foldable tabs on each side that lock it in place. To remove, fold back the tab on one side and then remove the cover. The instructions lead you to believe that the only work required is to fold back the tab, slide the old block, attach the new block, and then bend the tabs. on each side to lock them. Unfortunately, that's not all. To replace the ventilation cover, you must first disassemble everything from the inside. Trim ring - remove. Open/close handle/lever - remove. screen - remove. Then the mechanism that controls the opening / closing of the lever - unscrew the screws and separate it from the vent cover. If this is all done, then yes - the included instructions will work. Completion of installation is the reverse of removal. Online videos are your friend - check them out if you've never done it before. Warning. The skin, screen, and some other components may be made of plastic. Just like your breather cap, these parts are probably old and becoming brittle and finicky. Use extreme caution when working with these parts or you will end up in the market for more than just a replacement vent cover.
