Installation was easy, no need to drill the roof at all, only 4 small mounting holes need to be drilled under the vent for the brackets and it stays watertight. I can't tell you how important it is to leave the roof vent open when you leave your rig - not knowing if it's going to rain while you're away. There was also a small crack on the top cover next to the screw. The price was right but I saw some reviews that indicated buyers were disappointed with the durability of the product. Camco RV vent caps are made from a different material than (much more expensive) vent caps. So for a fraction of the cost I don't have the same expectations as if I bought the more expensive ones.
