Bought a used cable here for $7.64. Since few people use this more than once, a used cable is as good as new. A new purchase makes little sense. The only problem was that it came with no instructions. Here are a few tips for those who don't have instructions (didn't read all the reviews to see if they were here): On an old (not skinny) Xbox 360, just pull the hard drive case out of the Xbox and close it to the cable. The cable has a USB on one end and two different types of connectors on the other; both with plastic caps. The old Xbox uses the bottom connector. I'm assuming the thin Xbox uses an Edge connector. Plug in the USB stick, turn on the Xbox and wait for the on-screen instructions. The migration not only copies files but also deletes the copied files from the old hard drive during the transfer, so all the files left on the old hard drive were not transferred for some reason. (Programs installed from discs to HD will not be copied.) Originally I just wanted to re-download DLC and other stuff rather than spend money on this cable, but quickly found that some of the stuff I bought wasn't were more on xbox live which was a shock so all i had to do was get the cable. The cable isn't much so it gets 5 stars for what it is, but the XBLive software sucks. Since I was already running a few games on a new Xbox before I got this cable, every time it encountered a backup file or a file I had already downloaded, the software would stop the transfer to ask if I should overwrite it would like. It was possible to say 'yes' to all files but not 'no', so I had to keep checking to see if the transfer stopped and saying 'don't overwrite file'. It also got stuck on a specific file, but after I clicked the button (no tooltip was shown), it continued. It was like that for several hours.
