Tornado Alley is good for HF radios

We live in a severe weather area - it's not Oklahoma, but I was woken up early one morning by the distinctive sound of a tornado or strong tailwind blowing by my home, like the sound of a train. And we have big thunderstorms. I bought this radio because our local stations are weak and don't transmit reliable local weather. The radio comes in a pouch that attaches to a belt and has a wrist strap. It has a sporty yellow color and is clearly intended for sailors. Three batteries (not alkaline, but you can swap them out) are included so you can try out the radio as soon as you receive it. Visit the NOAA website to find your local NOAA station and tune your radio to one of seven letter frequencies appropriate for your area. Although tuning the frequency was a bit of a hassle, turning the radio on once tuned is easy. You press the top right button and your local NOAA station will turn on. In our area, the sea forecast comes every quarter and three quarters of an hour, and the local station broadcasts at the beginning of the hour. If the weather in the coverage area is bad, a "statement” flashes on the backlit LCD screen, which is very easy to read. When there is a weather warning, the warning flashes and the working light changes from green to red. A circle with a dash appears on the LCD. This indicates that the radio is in loud mode. When a warning or announcement is issued, the radio turns on and tells you the weather. Press the ON button again and it will disable, so you won't see the message or warning lights unless you're looking at the working turn signal light. in the upper right corner or on screen for all NOAA statements. Click again and the radio is now off. When you want to sleep but be warned of the dangers of the weather, the shrill alarm setting is great. It will wake you up immediately. If you only want to wake up at a specific time, there's a built-in alarm clock, and the LCD screen always shows the time and day of the week, as well as the tuned station. Summary: Sailors, this is CHEAP insurance. if your ship does not have a sophisticated navigation and radio communication system. Homeowners in severe weather areas as well as golf and sports enthusiasts can also benefit from this radio. Volume is adjusted using the up and down arrows on the left. The only downside to this device is the lack of a power adapter, although you can buy one if you want to use it on your home desktop. The form factor is good - durable non-slip plastic with a nice shape, shaped to be easy to hold, probably again for boat lovers. The sockets for the power supply are covered with plastic plugs so you can tether it anywhere on the boat if you're worried about falling overboard, and the connector's coating makes it waterproof.
