Review on DEWHEL Japanese Weighted M12X1 25 M10X1 25 Interior Accessories in Shift Boots & Knobs by Bob Trapp

needs alignment

Installed in my (manual) Toyota Tacoma today. I really like the Japanese numbers (they are the same as the Chinese ones). It's a lot more interesting and heavier (in a good way) than the stock plastic shift knob. On my Toyota it was turned tight with a shift pattern right to the back. I added about ten #8 washers to act as spacers, played around with the number and it fixed the problem. (My derailleur is M12-1.25 threaded, so no adapters are needed.) There was also a small issue with the boot that normally snaps into the stock shift knob. I took the 1" black plastic connector I had laying around, drilled a 1/2" hole in the center and pushed it into the top of the case over the switch. It looks almost like it should have been.
