Our current situation is as follows. As a financial technology start-up we're facing a challenge that has become apparent only after our launch, a lack of expertise in our field. To date, the service provided was good, the project manager was on the job and he did his best, but since the initial implementation the pace slowed down dramatically and the project wasn't progressing fast enough. So, it was decided that we would engage a full stack developer (developer and designer) to help us solve the problem. This solution didn't come cheap and the prices of freelancers are going crazy lately. So, it became obvious that we had to take matters into our own hands and find a local partner who could meet our expectations. It took about two weeks before we found a suitable candidate who had the right experience and skillset, and after another month of negotiations we agreed upon a price and signed a contract. We've started the development project with a rough estimation of 2 months to complete. But so far, the progress seems slow and unpredictable, and I think we're already starting to lose trust in the project manager, because we haven't seen any tangible progress yet.
