It's a big bag!: Horses

First Impression. The bag is just gigantic! I knew I needed a bigger hay sack, but this one is a little bigger than I imagined. It easily holds 3-4 generous haystacks which I like, I think it will keep my 19 year old laminitis-prone, uplifting I/R mare occupied longer (who is fed soaked hay - so this bag does that job for me a little easier). The holes are too small for my mare and after a while she stops working and walks (I thought I ordered a bag with bigger holes but I may have misread the description). Since she currently resides on a miniature "caterpillar system," she often returns there. So I think she works in that regard (she doesn't eat all her hay in one "sit"). I don't like that the bottom of the bag isn't reinforced. I attached the bottom of the bag the same way I attached the top, but it ripped a hole in the bottom seam because the bag wasn't designed to be attached that way. The thread that makes up the mesh is very soft and I like it. I've only recently used this grid so the estimates are based on a hole in the ground made trying to pin it down. We'll just have to wait and see how this bag holds up.
