Review on Wrist Mount Compass for Ocean Exploration by Mike Roe

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Broken compass strap

Strap is made of fragile Chinese plastic. Not the kind of rubber that should be used for diving. My harness snapped on the second dive I used it on. The strap was a bit loose on my wrist after my first dive that day, so I tightened it by one adjustment hole. When I resurfaced, I noticed that the strap had broken at the adjustment hole, which I had also tightened, and at the hole where I put the extra strap back through the buckle. Replacing the belt costs $30. So wear it a little loose and don't fold over the buckle. Otherwise the compass is excellent and I would give it 5 stars.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Expensive
